Love Island in new race row as viewers slam Siannise for calling Nas ‘Aladdin’ – The Sun

LOVE Island has become embroiled in a new race row after contestant Siannise Fudge called her partner Nas Majeed Aladdin.

It wasn't love at first sight for the pair as Siannise didn't step forward for Nas when he was introduced to the girls.

After he chose her to be his partner, Siannise likened him to the famous Disney character.

While Nas, who has Caribbean and Asian heritage, seemed happy with the comparison, many viewers did not.

Taking to Twitter, one said: "This Aladdin thing is rubbing me the wrong way #loveisland."

Another posted: "They need to stop this Aladdin stuff you know #LoveIsland."

A third predicted an unhappy response, writing: "I got a feeling people are gonna be complaining to ofcom about the aladdin comments #loveisland."

A fourth shared: "That aladdin comment was sly racist but we can discuss that later #loveisland."

Another vented: "no way did this girl just compare him to Aladdin? that’s bloody racist?! ?? #LoveIsland #LoveIslandUK."

Nas and Siannise got to know each other better by the villa's pool, and the London lad insisted he was a massive Disney fan.

He said: "I swear to god, my sister will vouch for me, my mum will vouch for me. I love Disney.

"I love Princess Jasmine, she's my fave. You do seem really sweet. "

Siannise replied: "I am sweet, do you know why?"

Nas answered: "I'm sure there's a great reason."

It prompted Siannise to gleefully say "Because my second name is Fudge."

Meanwhile in Nas's introduction VT, he gave viewers an insight into his ideal woman.

"My mum is from the Caribbean and my dad is from Asia so I am already quite exotic," he said.

"Family is a massive part of my life I'd love to have a girlfriend who is also family-orientated.

"My ideal type appearance wise is tanned, brunette, nice eyebrows. I feel like eyebrows make or break a face. I would say I am a good boyfriend because I am really caring and considerate, I guess I can't be that great if I am single."
