Love Island shock as show ditches iconic water bottles

LOVE Island has ditched it’s iconic water bottles in a big shake up this year.

Singletons famously sipped from transparent bottles featuring their names  when they are ‘cracking on’ or ‘pulling someone for a chat’.

But this series the bottles have had a glow up – with a slimmer design and white matte finish.

They have a double walled stainless steel body, which means the bottle is suitable for both hot and cold drinks.

They will however still feature the person’s name and the good news is – you can already get your hands on one from the official Love Island shop.

The new looks has sparked lots of conversation already online.

Jake Quickenden joked: “OMG what a glow up ?.”

Someone else added: “Rip the clear love island water bottles ?? you will be missed ❤️.”

While someone else said: “I need a new one now!”

Yesterday we revealed how the stars of the upcoming series are already in quarantine in Spain – ahead of a long hot summer.

The show launches on June 28 and the cast have already flown out there in preparation.

Insiders say show bosses are choosing which islanders will be part of the 2021 original cast this week.

A source told The Sun: "Bosses are finalising who goes into the villa on the launch show right now.

"The cast are already in Spain, quarantining ahead of the first episode.

"Everyone's really excited – it's going to be the best series yet as they have some really interesting islanders lined up for the villa."

Builders have been rushing to get the classic Majorca villa ready before the June 28 start date.

In exclusive pictures obtained by The Sun, the Love Island villa is seen surrounded by vans and shipment containers.

It appears to be getting quite the renovation, as big yellow construction vehicles can also be seen on site.

The cast and crew have set up shop too, with tents and temporary office buildings dotted around the grounds.

Former contestant Olivia Atwood thinks it could be the steamiest series yet as contestants won't have to social distance.

"It's possible they will be more wild. We've all been locked up and everyone is looking to blow off some steam – in general this could be a really good summer to be single and enjoying yourself," she told the Daily Star.

"It'll be good for the viewers if Love Island goes that way.

"The new series will be the perfect escapism from everything that is going on in the world at the moment and provide some light relief."
