Love Island newcomer Priya Gopaldas' friends have been forced to address hideous "racist comments" that have be sent by trolls following the latest recoupling.
In a statement, posted on Priya's Instagram stories, they wrote: "Morning all. We understand everyone has their own views on what happens on the show. However we need to remind you guys that racist comments and trolling is unacceptable!
"Please remember to be kind. Thank you to all the lovely messages that have been sent supporting Priya. Priya's gals xxx."
The cruel comments came after the show's latest recoupling where Priya chose to continue her Love Island journey with new bombshell Brett Staniland. Fan favourite Matt McNabb was dumped from the villa as a result.
Priya arrived in the villa just days ago alongside fellow bombshell Aaron Simpson. The 23 year old medical student wasted no time getting to know Matt and chose him for one of her first dates.
Romance was definitely in the air and things were looking good when Matt managed to steal a peck in the snug.
However, Brett's arrival threw a spanner in the works and Priya quickly became embroiled in the show's latest love triangle.
As producers dropped the news of an imminent recoupling, Priya was forced to put her foot down and reach a decision fast.

At the recoupling, she said: "I feel like with one of the boys, conversation flows really easily. I’m really comfortable with him and it helps that I could stare into his eyes all day. So the boy I’d like to couple up with is… Brett.’
She later added: ‘It’s bittersweet because Matt is such a good guy… I just hope I haven’t made a mistake.’
Sadly, it's not the first time loved ones of the show's contestants have had to speak out about cruel comments. Chloe Burrows was trolled and received death threats at the start of the show and Kaz Kamwi has also been on the receiving end of "vulgar racist abuse."
