Love Island's Jacques O'Neill shares male suicide warning after revealing he's in a 'better place mentally' | The Sun

Love Island star Jacques O'Neill has shared a male suicide warning on social media.

The 23-year-old star left the hit ITV2 show in dramatic scenes, and he's been very transparent about suffering with his mental health since.

He told The Sun he wanted to "work on himself" after being branded a “bully” and a “gaslighter”.

Jacques was coupled up with Paige Thorne, 24, on the show, but the pair weren't to last and she's since moved on with Adam Collard, 26.

Jacques shared his mans mental health warning on his Instagram, reposting a quote from English MMA star Paddy Pimblett that read: "There's a stigma in this world that men can't talk.

"Listen, if you're a man you've got weight on your shoulders and you think that the only way you can solve it is by kissing yourself please speak to someone."

Jacques commented beneath it: "Facts right there!" followed by a 100 per cent emoji.

The rugby star's message comes after he told his followers he's "in a better place."

Sharing a photo of himself, he wrote: "I just want you all to know that I’m in such a better place mentally.

"A huge reason for that is because of all the love and support I have received! I’d be in a much darker place if it wasn’t for all of your kind words, so thank you again I appreciate it so much."

Jacques is said to have turned down Celebs Go Dating's £60,000 offer – because he wants to wait for villa lover Paige Thorne.

A source said that execs at the E4 dating show think their experts Anna Williamson and Paul Brunson could prove really valuable guides for the troubled rugby lad.

They said: “It’s very early days and bookers for Celebs Go Dating have only really just got started.

“But an Islander always makes for a great signing and Jacques is a real stand-out, particularly because he’s already shown that he’s willing to put the work in and really change.

“That’ll make him a really credible candidate for the agency’s help, never mind be someone that fans would tune in for.

"But Jacques wants to wait for Paige so it may well be too late by the time she emerges.”
