Love Islands Luca and Gemma wont win but will last on outside, says expert

Gemma Owen and Luca Bish may not win despite being strong contenders for the Love Island final, predicts a relationship expert.

Relationship and wedding expert Lisa Forde of Tree Of Hearts spoke exclusively to Daily Star about which couples she thinks could win the popular ITV2 dating programme – and who could have long-lasting romance outside of the villa.

Lisa revealed that although Gemma Owen and Luca Bish are one of the strongest couples in the villa, having been together since early on in the series, she predicts that they may not win the £50,000 cash prize.

However, she definitely thinks that they will make it all the way to the end of the series, saying: "It’s quite clear to me to see who the stronger couples are – but as we know from previous years, that doesn’t always mean they will win.

"Gemma and Luca seem the closest couple in the villa at the moment so I think they’ll definitely make it to the final.

"But as we’ve seen in previous series, it’s not always the strongest couple that takes home the cash prize, instead it can be those who’ve gone on a ‘journey’ within the villa."

She added: "Think about Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea from series five, they were only together a few weeks but viewers bought into Amber’s journey – unsurprisingly they didn’t last long whereas runners up Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury were surely the strongest at that point – and they’re still together now.

"So maybe Luca and Gemma won’t win but I think they’re the most likely to stay together after the show."

Following a dramatic week in Casa Amor, many of the original couples have since got back together, but Lisa has given her verdict on who could take home the £50,000 cash prize.

After her surprise coupling with Love Island veteran Adam Collard, which Lisa predicted, the relationship expert revealed that Paige Thorne could take home the prize as viewer voting gets underway, saying: "Personality-wise, Paige is a firm fan-favourite which of course comes into play when viewers vote for their winner.

"She’s really likeable, has been on her own journey and is friends with everyone in the villa. Now with Jacques out of the way, it’s hopefully her time to shine."

However, Paige could also face stiff competition from another couple in the villa – Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti.

"Ekin-Su and Davide are really popular, too, both for their hilarious one-liners and infectious personalities, you can’t help but like them despite the drama that follows them around.

"So I wouldn't be surprised if they make it to the final, too, and even win."

With any Love Island series though, the prize could be up for grabs by any couple and with more twists and turns expected in the villa, viewers will have to wait and see what drama could unfold next to shake up the islanders.

Lisa said: "At the end of the day, it’s anyone’s game – couples change daily and I think we’ve learnt from previous series and even on this series, always expect the unexpected!"
