Love Island’s Malin Andersson admits plastic surgery companies approached her

Since appearing on Love Island in 2016, Malin Andersson has come to be known as so much more than a reality star.

The 26-year-old, who had a tumultuous time on the programme after she was brutally ditched by Terry Walsh, uses her substantial social media platform to encourage her following to be more body-confident.

She also isn't afraid to tackle tough topics such as bereavement following the tragic deaths of her mum and daughter, as well as admitting she became a carer after Love Island-related work dried up at one stage.

Malin, who prides herself on being "authentic" online has seen her already substantial following increase by approximately "320,000 over the last six months" – and it's not hard to see why.

The stunning influencer is often delighting her following with un-airbrushed pictures, as she encourages people to embrace their cellulite and stretch-marks, seeing her heaped in praise by her supporters.

But, Malin could have easily gone down the route of Photoshopping/heavily editing, after she was inundated with messages from cosmetic surgery companies following her Love Island stint.

She revealed all to Daily Star Online.

Malin divulged: "Just last week a cosmetic surgery company reached out and said "We can offer you Botox and filler, can you come in'?"

"They constantly messaged again even though I hadn't even opened the message and again. I then eventually replied and said: 'What? Is there something wrong with me?' and they replied and said, 'Sorry' and deleted the messages.

"But, it's people like that who are trying to promote their businesses and are going to people who have got a platform, think it's the way forward, and you know, that's sad."

Speaking about what inspired her to post about body confidence on social media, Malin said: "I think it started when I was pregnant, I think pregnancy kind of fully got rid of what I thought about my body.

"I think what brought that to light was the fact I had something growing inside of me.

"After she was born and I was left with the stomach and stuff, I looked at myself completely differently and realised there is a lot more to life than your exterior and how we view ourselves and how care about how other people view us.

"I think that I just became more aware and how I'd spent so many years trying to hide myself, and that's really sad."
