In the world of Fox’s fantasy thriller Lucifer, the universe was created by both God and Goddess, the parents of the show’s titular fallen angel (played by Tom Ellis). Goddess (Tricia Helfer) was last seen in season two, but she could make a dramatic return in the lead-up to the epic finale, now picked up by Netflix.
When the series was still airing on Fox, Lucifer did battle against his disdainful mother, Goddess.
She had taken the form of Charlotte in order to infiltrate the Earth and wreak havoc.
However, Lucifer, having developed a fondness for his new human companions, wielded the mythical Flaming Sword to banish his mother to the Void.
While Goddess has yet to make a comeback, it’s no surprise that fans are expecting the celestial being to survive her fate and make a vengeful return for the final season.

Tricia Helfer returned for season three, but as the revived Charlotte, Goddess’s mortal disguise.
She was tragically killed in the shocking season three finale and neither Goddess or Charlotte have been resurrected since.
One devoted fan took to Reddit and asked fellow Lucifer disciples to theorise on the fate of Charlotte/Goddess.
Redditor h2p012 said: “Technically, it’s entirely possible that Goddess returns. We know it took the Flaming Sword to open up the way to a new universe, and Lucifer tossed the sword into the void before it closed, so she has it.”
So Goddess currently has the possession of the Flaming Sword, which theoretically has the ability to tear open the fabric of space and gain passage to Earth.
Unfortunately for her, the Flaming Sword can only be ignited by the Lightbringer, Lucifer himself, and only by extreme emotion.
Although the fan presented a potential solution for Goddess to get over this slight snag.
They added: “Yes, Lucifer was the only one who could use it, but when Goddess regains at full strength, she could theoretically change that requirement with the sword.

“Never once was it mentioned that it required the power of both God and Goddess to create/change the sword. Hell, God could just create a new one on his own too.”
God has been announced to be joining the series’ ever-growing cast of characters, played by Dennis Haysbert.
Perhaps they could be about to form a precarious heavenly alliance to take down Lucifer now that he has accepted his role as the ruler of Hell.
It has of course been revealed that Tricia is set to return to the series for season five, however her dramatic change in wardrobe has fans’ alarm bells ringing.
