EastEnders star Maisie Smith is reportedly set to make a huge return to the BBC soap just three months after officially quitting Albert Square.
Maisie, who played Tiffany Butcher since she was six years old, left Walford in December with a suitcase after catching her hubby Keegan cheating on her with Dotty Cotton, played by Milly Zero.
Tiffany then dated Aaron Monroe, but left him after he turned aggressive.
But now she is set to return to the streets of Walford for a special cameo, The Sun reports.
Strictly Come Dancing finalist Maisie is said to be returning for "one episode" – but who knows where that could lead in future?
One source told the publication: "Bosses felt Tiffany had unfinished business with Keegan that needed a resolution before he left.
"So they decided to ask her back for one episode. Viewers will have to wait to see if they manage to fix their relationship or whether the bad blood that we’ve seen between them continues."
Announcing her exit last October, Maisie told her fans: "It’s time to say farewell to Tiff.
"I’ve grown up on EastEnders since 2008, and have learned from the best."
Posting a sweet Instagram post, she added: "Wow. Eastenders you have been a dream. Lotta tears, lotta laughs and a whole lotta love. Episode 685 complete. Farewell Tiffany Butcher-Baker."
It comes as her on-screen husband Keegan, played by Zack Morris, will also leave the soap.
The BBC announced his departure earlier this week, with Zack explaining: "After five beautiful years on this incredible show, I have made the tough decision to leave Walford and give Keegan Butcher-Baker some well-earned rest.
"This show has quite frankly changed my life for the better."
Fans, however, have been left concerned for the show’s future after a mass exodus which saw soap regulars including Danny Dyer leave Albert Square behind.
One worried fan posted in response to Zack’s announcement: “#Eastenders there will be no one left soon.
"Who is this producer getting rid of all the good actresses and actors. Eastenders will lose their tradition. Once everyone l like has gone… there will be no need for me to watch it anymore."
Another added: "Mate Eastenders itself will be needing a Julia's theme soon.. with all the favourite cast members leaving and the storylines dragging, feels like it's hanging on by a thread."
Julia’s Theme is an alternative version of the show’s end theme tune – named after show creator Julia Smith.
It is aired after character exits or particularly emotional moments on the soap rather than the customary Doof Doofs at the end of an episode.
