Matt Hancock left his campmates utterly bemused after he managed to burn their food during the latest instalment of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The 44 year old former Health Secretary seemed to have completely forgotten he needed to pay attention to a pot of boiling rice that A Place In The Sun presenter Scarlette Douglas, 35, had started off for the group.
While similar incidents may have been laughed off at the beginning of the gruelling jungle experience, with only days to go until the end, many of the stars are feeling the hunger pinch.
With basic sleeping and washing conditions in the jungle, the celebrities are near snapping point when they miss out on food, especially Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner, 23.
As a result, Matt's faux pas created some awkwardness in the camp.
Suddenly noticing the pan of rice had dried up, Scarlette exclaimed it was “totally burnt".
Going on to scald the MP for not "keeping an eye" on the food, the rest of the celebrities went quiet as the pair tried to salvage breakfast.
Laughing about the mistake in the Bush Telegraph, Seann Walsh explained: "Matt did a bit of an ‘oopsie’ with the cooking and forgot that the rice was being cooked.
“I don’t remember there being so many problems with the cooking when Charlene was here. I think this restaurant’s gone downhill. Sorry Matt."
Not convinced the situation had been a disaster, Matt later said: “We rescued the situation, we got half a pan of rice.
"Basically we lost one packet of rice. All is well," former Health Secretary Matt insisted.
With both Charlene, Scarlett and Sue Cleaver now also gone from camp, some of the best cooks have left the group.
While the celebs will be sad at yet another loss, Sue was overjoyed to hear Ant and Dec read her name out.
"My time is done. Yes I am done!" the Corrie actress told Ant and Dec with relief. “It is lovely watching it back, those guys are amazing.
"Camp life I have loved, but you can stuff your trials where the sun don’t shine frankly."
As the hosts giggled at Sue's trademark honesty, the former campmate continued: “I had enough and hit a wall, it is the anxiety and not knowing and not having control over your life. That is so weird.”
