Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard look miserable after split as they’re spotted separately in London – The Sun

LOVE Island's Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard both looked glum today as they were seen for the first time since revealing their explosive split.

The 29-year-old Dancing On Ice star admitted last night that their seven-month relationship was over, telling fans that they "couldn't make it work".

Maura stared down towards the pavement looking miserable as she walked to her car the morning after the announcement.

The star was wearing the same shiny black jacket with a fur-lined hood that she wore in a Valentine's Day selfie posted by Curtis last month.

She left her flat in Essex clutching her phone and with a large Louis Vuitton bag hooked over her arm before getting into a car and driving off.

Meanwhile, Curtis was seen looking downcast in London as he took a break from rehearsals for his AJ Live dance tour.

He was shown looking grim-faced while he took a call on his mobile phone and was later pictured in a black cap with his hands plunged in his pockets.

The Sun Online revealed today that Curtis has grown close to a gorgeous blonde dancer who performs on the show.

Insiders told us the Love Island star has been getting friendly with Amber Pierson amid his split.

Despite Maura yesterday insisting the Love Island 2019 stars were still an item after not being pictured together for weeks, the former grid girl later announced their split.

Posting on Instagram, she wrote: "Curtis and I have made the decision to separate.

"We enjoyed a great experience from our time in the villa and want to thank everyone for supporting our relationship.

"There is no easy way to get through a break-up and no bad feeling on either side. We tried to make it work but it wasn't to be and I wish Curtis nothing but the best for the future."

She signed off with a large emoji of a broken heart.

Maura and 24-year-old Curtis had long been dogged by rumours they were no longer together, especially as they were seen on separate nights out despite being only a few miles apart.

On Saturday night Maura downed vodka from the bottle as Love Island pal Chris Taylor poured it into her mouth while partying at a club.

Meanwhile Curtis was out with his co-stars on The Greatest Dancer after filming wrapped just miles away from Dancing On Ice star Maura's night out.

In an eerie coincidence, Celebs Go Dating comic Rob Beckett predicted the couple were finished during a voiceover on last night's show.
