MEGAN McKenna is the latest star to sign up for Celebrity MasterChef.
The singer, who found fame on TV shows including Towie and Ex On The Beach, will be taking part in the cooking show alongside other big names including Katie Price, 42, and Dion Dublin, 51.
Megan will be cooking gluten and wheat free dishes on the show as she was diagnosed with coeliac disease aged seven.
The condition, whereby the immune system attacks your own tissues when you eat gluten, is something Megan, 28, has lived with for years.
But insiders said she was keen to show her creative flair when cooking for those who couldn’t eat gluten.
A source said: “Megan jumped at the opportunity to give Celebrity MasterChef a try.
“She has spoken a lot before about living with coeliac disease and wants to try and use her time on the show to inspire others who have to cook with a more limited range of ingredients.
“While she isn’t the world’s best chef, Megan is a good cook and is confident in her recipes and ideas.
“She is looking forward to showing the judges and the other competitors what she can do.”
Judges John Torode, 55, and Gregg Wallace, 56, are hosting the cult cooking show and will be overseeing Megan’s creations.
Alongside Katie and Dion, Coronation Street actress Melissa Johns, 31, has also signed up to take part.
TV presenter Joe Swash, 39, will also take a turn in the kitchen.
Last year's Celebrity Masterchef was won by Irish broadcaster and activist Riyadh Khalaf.
He overcame Olympic hockey player Sam Quek and Olympic rowing legend Sir Matthew Pinsent in the final.
Of his victory, he said: “I am absolutely in shock. I can’t believe it, it’s an incredible feeling.
"This show I have been watching since I was in school and to have gone from being a fan of the show to winning the thing – this is without a doubt the biggest achievement of my life.”
