MICHELLE Heaton has revealed how drugs and alcohol had ravaged her hair.
The Liberty X star, 41, shared shocking pictures of her hair before getting her tresses transformed.
The singer recently opened up about her "life saving" rehab stint at The Priory after a three-year addiction battle.
Michelle shared the honest post highlighting the impact that "drugs and alcohol"can have on your appearance.
Alongside a pic of her damaged hair, the popstar wrote: "It’s funny (not really funny) but still funny, how stress … hormones … alcohol … drugs … diet … fitness all effects the hair!
"See my video at the end. This was filmed only this morning.
"That’s the harsh reality of what my hair became. And so this is me now."
The star then shared an "after" pic of her glowing hair transformation, which showed her locks looking healthy and shiny.
In the selfie, Michelle's luxurious brunette waves looked remarkably different to her earlier tangled tresses.
She was thrilled with her new look, writing: "Has well and truly got rid of any last bits of Michelle in addition! Good riddens!"
Michelle's fans flocked to compliment her newly dyed hair, with one posting: "You’re always gorgeous, and your hair is ?."
Another shared: "I love how honest you are …that takes bravery. Keep going & your hair is looking fab."
A third added: "You're looking fantastic babe ?."
Last month, Michelle bravely revealed she had been "days from death" after going on a three-year cocaine and booze binge.
Just 36 hours after leaving rehab, the TV personality told The Sun of how she was only saved by an intervention from showbiz pals led by Katie Price.
They not only insisted Michelle book herself into The Priory, but paid for her four-week stay to beat her drug and alcohol addiction.
She detailed how her husband Hugh Hanley was left to raise their children, daughter Faith, nine, and son AJ, seven, as she battled her demons.
The married mum of two shot to fame on ITV’s Popstars in 2000, leading to the formation of Liberty X a year later. After they split in 2007 she moved into writing and TV work.
A downward spiral set in when she discovered in 2012 that she was a carrier of the mutated BRCA2 gene, significantly increasing her risk of breast and ovarian cancer.
Michelle underwent a mastectomy in 2012 and two years later, chose to also undergo a hysterectomy in order to beat the odds of developing cancer.
It was at this point that Michelle revealed that she turned to drinks and drugs to cope with the "pain and suffering".
"'What I was doing was a suicide mission. I was crying out for help when I couldn't actually ask for help. When you're an addict, it feels like there's no way out," she revealed.
"Last September I hit rock bottom with the alcohol and had excruciating pains. My doctor could feel my liver sticking out because I was so thin."
The star detailed that before rehab, she had drunk a bottle of vodka and two bottles of wine "virtually every day since 2018".
Michelle also revealed her "three day coke binge" that saw her consume a gram of cocaine a night, alongside her regular alcohol intake.
At The Priory, she was told that her levels of the enzyme GGT – which indicated lives damage – was at 2,500 compared to the healthy level of 30.
