NCIS Los Angeles fans have loved the romance between Marty Deeks (played by Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) over the past 11 seasons. Here’s what the Marty Deeks star revealed about his favourite moments between the pair on the long-running show.
What is Eric Christian Olsen’s favourite Kensi and Deeks moment?
Ever since they first met in season one, the chemistry between Kensi and Deeks on NCIS Los Angeles has been undeniable.
This has only blossomed over the 11 seasons since with some fantastic moments between the two.
The stars agree and in an interview with TV Line ahead of the highly anticipated wedding in season 10, Olsen opened up about his favourite moments.
When asked what his best scenes between the pair were, he took the publication through some of his highlights.
Olsen explained: “If you look back to the time that Kensi was trapped in that room with the bomb…
“You see the ignition point of what that chemistry looked like and what they were fighting for.
“There are these deeply grounding moments, fundamental moments and milestones in their relationship.
“Such as after Deeks was tortured and he couldn’t sleep and she came over and they ate Chinese food and there’s all this banter.
“And obviously, the break-up scene at the end of last season [season nine] was one of my favorite scenes ever.”
There’s a lot of great scenes here, which fans of the show will undoubtedly remember and love.
The initial bomb scene Olsen mentioned took place in the season two episode Deliverance.
The episode saw Kensi trapped in a room full of explosives, with Deeks helping her to escape in one of the first real moments of trust for the pair.

Olsen also referenced the season five, episode two moment when Kensi comes by because Deeks can’t sleep.
Called Impact, this was an emotional episode for fans after Deeks returned from torture at the hands of Isaak Sidorov (Timothy V. Murphy).
Finally, fans will not be able to forget the gut-wrenching break-up scene between the pair at the end of season nine.
The confrontation happened between them in the parking lot as they realised their career and family goals did not align.
While Deeks had been putting pressure on her to leave NCIS with him to start a family, Kensi revealed she did not see herself doing this.
Deeks told her: “The longer that we stay in, the better chance that this ends really poorly for us. You know that, right?”
When Kensi said she could not compromise on this, Deeks told her then maybe they shouldn’t get married.
This was undoubtedly a hard moment for fans but thankfully the pair worked through it and got married in season 10.
Olsen added about the scene to TV Line: “That’s one of my favorite scenes from a viewing standpoint, too, because it’s really easy to paint this as one-sided – one person is wrong and one is right.
“But the complexity of that fight was that they were both right. It was just a failure of circumstances, and that’s what was so heartbreaking about it.
“And then to go to Mexico and have that beautiful scene at the church where you just go, ‘I don’t care about the circumstances, I don’t care about logistics. Love wins.’
“These two have definitely put the hours in to get to a place where they have this wedding.”
NCIS LA will return with season 12 later in 2020.
