New Love Island fix scandal erupts as fans spot Olivia in Iain Stirling’s Buffering show MONTHS before villa | The Sun

LOVE Island has been embroiled in a fix scandal after fans spotted Olivia Hawkins in an episode of Iain Stirling's show Buffering.

Olivia, 27, has had several brushes with fame, from appearing in a James Bond film alongside Daniel Craig to popping up in RnB singer Dapz's music video Take Me Away.

Now eagle-eyed fans have spotted ring girl Olivia working as an extra in episode two of series two of the ITV comedy sitcom.

Buffering is a six part series created and co-written by comedian and Love Island narrator Iain Stirling – it has also starred Iain's wife and former Love Island host Laura Whitmore.

Along with being single and a number of other strict rules, insiders claim that islanders can't take part on the dating show if they have previously worked for ITV.

Fans have called out producers for allowing the actress to be part of this Love Island line-up when she'd already worked with Iain – with one even hinting she'll be given preferential treatment, saying: "ITV2 must love Olivia!"

One viewer wrote: "Did anyone watch Buffering straight after on it 2? Was Olivia actually an extra or were my eyes deceiving me?"

Another posted: "She is everywhere, must being doing a lot of extra work."

A third said: "She was definitely in episode two for sure," while another added: "Yes! When the women were sitting around the table discussing the ick! ITV2 must love her."

A TV insider told The Sun "It's outrageous that Olivia is in the villa because we've always been told that you're not allowed on Love Island if you've worked for ITV before – it's something they're very strict about – but somehow it's okay for Olivia."

However, ITV have denied knowing about Olivia's involvement with Love Island when she was cast for the popular sitcom.

A spokesperson for ITV said: "We can confirm this is Olivia Hawkins but we weren’t aware of her involvement in Love Island at the time of casting".

Olivia brands herself a “knockout” and has already been on TV before her Love Island fame.

Last month, The Sun revealed that she and former villa co-star Zara Lackenby-Brown appeared in the same music video.

In unearthed footage for RnB singer Dapz's music video Take Me Away, both girls were seen lounging by the pool in bikinis in the middle of a house party in the Hollywood Hills.

In one shot, Olivia is sipping on cocktails as she sits on the poolside, flicking back her hair as she stares at Dapz.

The actress was also cast on the show's 2019 series as part of contestant Joe Garratt's promotional video.

Brighton-based Olivia is pals with a number of reality stars including former Towie star Sam Faiers.

She has also stood in for Brassic star Michelle while shooting an ad for the actress’ Very campaign in 2017.

Olivia has already starred in music videos for Craig David and DJ Tom Zanetti and has danced at Wembley with Charli XCX.
