I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! campmates reunited in Gwrych Castle on Wednesday’s instalment of the ITV show. Viewers tuned in to watch Naughty Boy undertake a Bushtucker Trail called Savage Stakeout which saw him strapped down while creepy crawlies were poured on him. However, fans lambasted the trial for being “pathetic”, sparking a favouritism row on social media.

@EMctigger tweeted: “I absolutely love @imacelebrity but this year has seen the most pathetic challenges ever. In fact, calling them challenges is an insult.

“Naughty Boy screaming for 60 seconds and then suddenly stopping when told time is up; despite nothing being removed.”

@Sarahrellyboo added: “I’m sure #ImACelebrity purposely gives #NaughtyBoy easier trials.

“They give him loads of hints and help they don’t offer to others…Why? Is it because he’s such a whingey plop?

@GiallorossiBlue commented: “Why are Naughty Boy’s trials so easy? Everyone else gets snakes, rats etc. He gets worms. #ImACeleb”

@PastelUnicorn5 added: “Crickets?! If it was anyone else they’d have snakes and spiders and god knows what else.”

@Davidbwilson58 agreed, adding: “This trial is so easy, those things are not even on him.”

However, some fans rallied to support the DJ as he managed to win 11 stars for the camp, with @DavyWatt tweeting: “Naughty Boy has morphed into Happy Boy yaaay, 11 stars out of 11 #ImACeleb. Awful trial (stuck to the ground with creepy crawlies moving about) but the camp will eat well. Well done Naughty Boy!”

Naughty Boy and the Lords of the Camp Simon Gregson and Adam Woodyatt were the three celebrities who were involved on Wednesday’s trial.

As the Lords sat in their thrones, Dec said: “Depending on how you do, you could make things easier or harder for Naughty.”

Naughty Boy was then shown his trial and told he’d be strapped, lying down, into one contraption while insects were poured over his body.

The hosts explained the Lords would be asked questions and Naughty Boy would be covered in critters between each round.

If they got the question right, he’d have to endure 30 seconds, but if they got it wrong, he’d have to endure 60 seconds, plus the Lords would be showered with Castle nasties.

Adam responded: “Oh crap! We’re stuffed. Hang in there Naughty!”

Questions included what colour the seats are in the House of Lords, which Lord of the Rings novel is second in the trilogy and what company Lord Sugar founded.

The Lords started well and Naughty Boy faced 30 seconds of mealworms on his leg and Simon said: “They’re tiny little earthworms.”

But Adam joked: “Some of them are huge… I’m winding you up, they can’t do anything to you mate.”

Incorrectly guessing how many Lords are leaping in the classic Christmas song, the Lords were showered and Naughty faced 60 seconds of giant hoppers on his stomach.

Naughty Boy squirmed: “Something’s crawling up in me! Please guys, get the answers right!”

As the Lords were unexpectedly feathered as punishment for another incorrect answer, Naughty Boy continued to face critters including whip scorpions and cockroaches.

As the Trial neared its end Naughty Boy had a Burmese python on his arm and eight snakes on his head.

Luckily the DJ completed the full trial and won 11 out of 11 stars, and he was called a “superstar” by his fellow campmates.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here continues on ITV at 9pm.
