Peaky Blinders season 6: Finn Shelby’s death revealed as Arthur Shelby drops fearful hint

Peaky Blinders season five ended last night with a thrilling ride for the Shelby clan. Tommy Shelby (played by Cillian Murphy) found his plan to kill Oswald Mosely (Sam Clafin) scuppered as someone seemed to know absolutely everything about his scheme. Fans will recall it was actually his own brother, Finn Shelby (Harry Kirton) who let slip the plan but will he die for it?

Throughout Peaky Blinders’ fifth season, Finn has been growing up in to a life of crime and violence.

He was put in charge of Billy Grade (Emmett J Scanlan), who was in charge of the Peaky bookmakers’ accounts.

In the final episode, Finn was chatting to his new acquaintance, who he was warned not to trust, before continuing to give him a wad of cash.

The youngest Shelby told him to get some alcohol and a girl and enjoy his evening as there would be trouble in town.

Finn then proceeded to tell Billy the whole plan, which it seemed was then relayed to someone who wanted the fascist Mosely to stay alive.

As a result, Tommy’s plan was scuppered and at the end of the episode, he was most definitely desperate to find out who was responsible.

Now, fans have spotted a tiny clue in the series which suggests poor Finn will pay the deadly price for his actions.

Earlier in the finale, Arthur Shelby (Paul Anderson) warned Finn about getting too close to a dodgy accountant.

Arthur threatened his brother: “It’s your own life you’re risking.”

It seems the message didn’t quite get through to the youngster as he went ahead with his honest, but reckless, actions anyway.

Will he pay the price for his mistake?

Some are wondering if it was even Billy who was behind the foiling anyway.

Some viewers are pointing the finger of blame at Michael Gray (Finn Cole), who launched his bid to take Tommy’s crown.

One wrote: “Okay but the attack was way too orchestrated to be Finn’s fault like he told Billy like half an hour before the thing??? Which only leaves Michael and honestly I’m just in complete denial that he did that.”

A second shared: “Final episode of #PeakyBlinders led us to believe that Tommy’s plot was foiled by Finn’s loose tongue & Billy Grade’s phone call. But I think it will turn out to be Gina & Michael’s Plan B.”

A third added: “Michael was the one who shot Barney, you heard it here first.”

Elsewhere in the episode, fans said a fond farewell to Aberama Gold (Aidan Gillen), after he was brutally killed off.

The loyal friend to Tommy and husband-to-be to Polly Gray (Helen McCrory), he sadly was too vengeful and couldn’t help but go after his nemesis.

But it was his downfall as the fan-favourite was brutally stabbed multiple times and left for dead on the floor.

Peaky Blinders will return to BBC One.
