PIERS Morgan and Susanna Reid laughed as they took a dig at Prince Harry and Meghan's plans to launch their own comedy shows.
The Sun revealed yesterday that the couple are planning to make and sell funny programmes alongside dramas and thrillers.
However, Good Morning Britain presenters Piers and Susanna could barely keep a straight face at the news.
Piers said: "Harry and Meghan are apparently going to start making comedy shows.
"This is in direct contrast to their own lives, which is of course nothing like a comedy show.
"So it'd be great to see them moving into comedy after the year they've had, which many of us would find rather comedic."
The Sun revealed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's plans – which could include making animations and children's series – to establish a TV and film company.
They have already signed money-spinning deals with streaming channels Netflix and Spotify for documentaries and podcasts.
Now they have filed documents with the UK’s Intellectual Property Office for trademark protection for Archewell Productions.
A source said: “Meghan and Harry’s approach to their TV ambitions has always been serious — but it’s hard to imagine them coming up with the next Only Fools and Horses.”
The papers — issued late last month — seek sole rights to make “motion picture films, televisions series and videos” in all genres.
They also ask for protection for mobile phone apps for the business.
Meghan, 39, made her name as an actress in US legal drama Suits — and the documents, if rubber-stamped, will give freedom to create fiction and non-fiction TV and films.
She and Harry, 36, have already filed documents in the US to trademark their Archewell Foundation for good causes, and Archewell Audio for podcasts.
