Actress Patsy Kensit shared details of her first meeting with Prince Harry and Prince William as she spoke about the Duke of Sussex’s interview with James Corden. The former Emmerdale star told Good Morning Britain hosts Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard, she found the prince to be “down to earth” and “a joy”.

The hosts aired a clip of Prince Harry talking about his move to America for his mental health before asking Patsy for her own take.

“I mean, I have huge empathy for both of them and I think why can’t they have a voice?” Patsy remarked.

“I met Harry, I think it must have been about 15 years ago when they did the concert for Diana at Wembley, in memory of their mother.

“I was introducing Kanye West and afterwards we were invited to a little et together with the Princes and couldn’t take any of our plus ones with us so we had to go alone.

“William came over and was so lovely and polite and shook my hand then Harry sort of bounced across the room and said, ‘Get out of the way, I want a hug.’

“He gave me the best hug and then William said, ‘Okay then can I have one then please?’

“I’m sure they did that to all the other gorgeous people there, I think they were just being kind to me but they seemed so down to earth and he was just a joy.”
