They say the show must go on, but wrestlers Psycho Clown and Brandon Kirk took that to a new level as they battled through a thunderstorm over the weekend.
The two stars met in the ring during a show in Camden, New Jersey on Saturday, and one fan noted that the ‘torrential downpour’ started almost immediately after the bell rang to start the match.
Reddit user Bluepantsbike said: ‘I went with a buddy, truly an insane time. Psycho flew straight from Mexico to come to this show (~100 people), one rain delay earlier in the night.
‘He showed up maybe 30 minutes before his match. The second they rang the bell, torrential downpour.’
In various videos shared online from the match, the wrestlers can be seen fighting the elements – and each other – as they do their best to put on a spectacle for their fans in the most unusual of circumstances.
In a post translated from Spanish, Psycho Clown later tweeted: ‘This is Lucha Libre. My commitment is with you, and rain, thunder or lightning I will give myself to give you a good show. (sic)’

‘Last match, after ring intros, the heavens unleashed a RAINSTORM with full on thunder/lightning and these guys did their whole match, in obvious unsafe conditions.’
Meanwhile, Ring of Honor star The World Famous CB was clearly impressed after the wild scenes were brought to his attention.
He also shared a clip and wrote: ‘They deadass was wrestling in the middle of a hurricane’.
Although the two wrestlers received high praise from many fans, plenty of others were critical of the decision to let the match go ahead in such adverse conditions.
However, Kirk fired back: ‘Lot of Armchair Quarterbacking from people telling me “WrEsTlinG in A ThUnDersTOrm is DaNgErouS”
‘Do I present myself as someone that values my own well being or personal safety?? Have you met me? (sic)’
