REAL Housewives of New Jersey's Danielle Staub's ex-husband is coming to her defense once more and slammed Melissa Gorga for taking credit for "ruining Danielle and Teresa's friendship."
Marty Caffrey also criticized the RHONJ cast for constantly going after Danielle because he claimed they no longer have interesting storylines.
In an exclusive interview with AllAboutTheTea.com, Marty Caffrey talked about how he felt when seeing Danielle attacked in the show.
He said: "Because the cast have no storylines, they have to revert to invoking Danielle in some form or another. Melissa even recently took credit for ruining Danielle and Teresa’s friendship.
“That may be the highpoint of the season for Melissa."
Even though Teresa and Danielle looked like besties throughout the show's tenth season, things changed after the reunion show and they are no longer friends.
Marty also continued to slam the show for abusing Danielle's life.
He said: "The show’s existence now is based on everyone using Danielle’s life story and trying to turn it into their own story.
"When things get boring they revert to something about Danielle. Usually, something regurgitated over and over again."
A source talked HollywoodLife about Teresa and Danielle's current status and said: "Teresa and Danielle did have a conversation at the reunion.”
They went on the two “won’t be best friends again" but they won't be enemies either.
Teresa and Danielle were cordial during the taping because "Teresa just doesn’t want to fight with anyone anymore.”
The insider said: “Her thoughts about life and relationships has completely changed with everything that’s gone on in her life.”
HollywoodLife says their relationship came to a head before the reunion with an incident that also involved Teresa's sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga.
Teresa also confirmed they are no longer friends during an episode of Watch What Happens Live.
She told Andy Cohen: "She was a good friend while it lasted.
"She broke our trust. Loyalty was broken. And that's it. That's why we're not friends anymore."
Danielle's ex-husband previously came to her defense after her nasty hair-pulling fight with housewife Margaret Josephs.
He talked to RadarOnline.com about his view on Margaret: "I know she has threatened that before. It’s another example of Margaret using Danielle to get attention when she can’t get any by herself.
"Margaret should be worried about her career with the franchise if she ever stops talking about Danielle Staub."
Fans of the show know that Margaret and Danielle's feud reached an all-time low when Danielle dragged Margaret by the ponytail.
The fight started when all of the housewives were making fun of Danielle's sex tape – and the furious Danielle had had enough.
When she confronted the housewives with Teresa Giudice, Margaret dumped a glass of water over her head, which started the brawl.
After the hair-pulling episode aired, Danielle announced that she would be leaving the franchise.
Marty has since warned Margaret to "be very careful."
He said: “She should be very careful. The after show is a good example of how the ‘full time’ cast members constantly need to attack Danielle, a ‘friend,’ without her there to stand up for herself.
“Danielle has no platform. They get to spew whatever bulls**t they want and go unchecked. What ‘friend’ across all the franchises is the main focus of the season?”
Marty also slammed Danielle's co-stars, saying: “A bunch of cowards. They need Danielle’s story because they don’t have one themselves. Can anybody identify Margaret’s storyline?
“Melissa, Jennifer or Jackie have nothing either. Well, Melissa has Joe. Joe’s the Housewife, not Melissa. Delores has her two men storyline. Teresa has her husband and Danielle.
"Without Danielle going forward Margaret is doomed and so is Teresa. They really all do owe their paychecks to Danielle.“
Danielle and Marty finalized their divorce on Feb. 21 2019 after only nine months.
