Ruth Langsford hosted today’s Loose Women as Stacey Solomon and Nadia Sawalha joined in with the debates in the studio and Brenda Edwards joined in from home. The presenter addressed the possibility of her splitting with husband and This Morning co-host Eamonn Holmes after a “brutal” question from her co-star during a debate on workplace relationships.
The topic being discussed was ‘Should bosses take sides in a love split?’
The Loose Women discussed the complications that can arise when you date someone in the workplace.
While Stacey questioned whether you should feel comfortable discussing your relationship with your colleagues if they too work with your partner.
Stacey asked Ruth: “How is it for you and Eamonn then? Would you ever talk to anyone in the workplace about yours and Eamonns’ arguments?”

“To a certain degree, well people see it a lot of the time live on air,” Ruth joked.
“Our producers, if we’re in a meeting they will definitely see me and Eamonn have a disagreement.
“I will say, ‘We’re not having an argument, I just don’t agree with him on this point, that’s all.’
“And if it was a man having that, they’d just be disagreeing on a point so people see that anyway.”
“I wouldn’t sit and say, ‘Well let me tell you last night, he said this to me, he said that to me,’” Ruth continued.
“But I think we’re different because we are a couple and we’re in the same job, I think that’s different really.”
Brenda interrupted to ask a shocking question to make Ruth consider the possibility of her splitting with Eamonn.
“What if you did split up, who would stay at This Morning?” Brenda asked.

Echoing Nadia’s comment, Ruth remarked: “Brutal but interesting.”
“All I’ll say, I was there first,” Ruth cheekily quipped. “Just saying, I was there first.”
