Saffron Barker says coronavirus lockdown is making her desperate for a boyfriend as she’s been isolating for 3 WEEKS – The Sun

STRICTLY star Saffron Barker says the coronavirus lockdown is making her crave a boyfriend.

The vlogger, 19, has already been self-isolating for three weeks as she fell ill before the government enforced strict isolation measures.

And while she has her family around her for support, the unusual time has her pining for love.

In an exclusive chat with The Sun Online, she said: "I feel I go through stages. Sometimes I'm like I love being single, it's the best thing ever.

"Right now, being in lockdown, I would actually love to have a boyfriend, and unfortunately, I don't, but it's one of those things.

"I've always believed I'll find someone when the time is right and, to be honest, if I was with someone I never normally have that much time anyway.

"So it probably is better for me being single."

Saffron was often linked with her Strictly dance partner AJ Pritchard throughout her time in last year's show and the following arena tour.

But she insists the pair were always just good friends and laughed off the speculation.

"It didn't really bother me because I kind of expected it and I think AJ did as well," she said.

"We were the youngest on the show and the closest in age.

"We knew it was going to happen, it happens to AJ every year anyway.

"If I'm sat in the same room as a guy people will assume I'm with them anyway, so it's something I'm used. You just have to laugh it off."

Earlier this month The Sun exclusively revealed Saffron has signed a six-figure deal with fashion brand In The Style.

And she's also become skincare brand Bioré's first UK ambassador.

Speaking of the accolade, she said: "I've been using the brand for years now. It's always a brand I've gone back to because I know to works for my skin.

"It means so much to me I know they work. It's such an honour to be the first UK brand ambassador."
