SCARLET Moffatt has revealed it’s going “really well” with her boyfriend Scott Dobinson but she doesn’t feel any pressure to settle down and have kids.
The 30-year-old has been dating the policeman since early last year but has kept the relationship mostly under wraps.
Chatting to Lorraine today about how it is going, she said: “I feel like I’m probably a bit quiet about it because it is going so well.”
The TV star added: “I’m 30 this year and I feel like some people panic into thinking life’s a checklist and you’ve got to have got married and had kids by a certain age and it’s not like that. It can be any age.”
Since turning 30, Scarlett has learnt to deal with online abuse better and admitted that Scott had really helped her with that too.
She said: “As I’ve got older, especially since meeting Scott actually, I’m sort of a bit like… I’m not saying it doesn’t affect us, it does, but I feel like a big thing for me is self-care, which I always thought was a bit hippy.
“It is important to read the positive things and take yourself out of the situation. Don’t go on social media for a few days, do things you like doing like walking your dog.”
Scarlett will next be seen on Celebrity Bake Off tomorrow evening – a show she decided to take part in because her dad had cancer.
“It’s an amazing cause, Stand Up to Cancer,” she revealed. “I feel like everyone at some point has been affected by cancer, whether it’s family or a friend. I’m doing this for my Dad.
“My Dad had cancer when I was younger. Luckily, he was able to kick its butt and he came home on Christmas Eve. I would like to make sure that everyone can kick its butt and that’s my little part.”
However, she found the baking part of the show much harder than she expected and thought she would be given more help.
She said: “I feel bad because when I was on Gogglebox, a little bit of a couch warrior, I was like ‘It can’t be that hard! They give you three and a half hours to bake a cake, it’s going to be simple.
“But I genuinely thought you could take cake mix in with you. It’s really difficult. It’s quite stressful in a way because you want to do well.”
