The third season of Selling Sunset certainly lives up to the show’s billing of sharing an insight to the hottest properties in LA while detailing the real-life dramas between the agents. Netflix viewers get an all-access view to Christine’s wedding in the latest series – but it was the aftermath with colleague Chrishell Stause which has got fans talking.

Chrishell’s heartbreaking divorce takes centre stage in the third season of Selling Sunset, after being “blindsided” by husband Justin Hartley.

As such, the likes of Mary and Amanza Smith stand by their close pal’s side, comforting her in her time of need.

However, the same couldn’t exactly be said for some the other agents in the cast, notably Davina Potratz, who remained adamant there was “another side to the story”.

And all of this came to a head while at Christine’s wedding when Davina weighed in on Chrishell’s predicament, causing a scene and resulting in Chrishell storming out of her colleague’s big day.

The uproar amongst everyone involved was clear to see in the season three finale but Mary has revealed how the carnage led to her telling the production team to “turn the cameras off”.

When asked what she was thinking during Davina’s comments, Mary exclusively said: “So when they did that, I mean, Chrishelle, she’d just had enough.

“And, you know, she got up and stormed out and I really, I kind of lost it on everybody.

“Even production, I was like, don’t follow her turn the cameras off. I just want to protect her. She’s been through enough.”

Mary continued: “I knew that this was a very, very difficult thing for her to, you know, suck up and do it either for the sake of Christine and everyone else,

“And then my heart just went out for her, I just wanted to protect her.

“So I kind of went in a hyper, hyper protective mode and went a little crazy on everybody.”

Discussing Davina’s comments specifically, the Selling Sunset star added: “I mean, it was inappropriate anytime but actually at her (Christine’s) wedding. I was like, ‘What are you thinking?'”

Davina wasn’t the only one who appeared apathetic compared to the likes of Mary, Amanza and Jason, however, as Christine also seemed to agree with her colleague’s point of view.

When asked if Christine was annoyed the row had arguably overshadowed her big day, Mary said: “I think that [the row] happened in between the ceremony and the reception because it took a really long time for them to transform that space.

“It was like two hours. I think we were all sitting there waiting for that venue to be transformed. So I think that’s when it happened.

“And she was, I believe, just going around talking to people, changing her outfit and stuff like that.

“I don’t think that she was aware of it unless she just heard from one of the other girls weren’t quite sure.

“I mean, I think Christine had been upset that the divorce overshadowed her wedding in general,

“But I don’t know about that particular instance if she even knew about it until she watched it.”

Selling Sunset is available to stream on Netflix now.
