Spoilers: Hollyoaks reveals Verity's return storyline

It’s been quite some time since the eponymous village of Hollyoaks was blessed with a visit from the ever-fabulous Verity Hutchinson (Eva O’Hara), but the solicitor makes a thunderous return in the coming episodes, and it doesn’t take long for her to make intentions known, as she reveals the reason behind her re-appearance.

Verity has made several sporadic appearances in the village since her arrival during the late-night instalment back in January, but the solicitor returns in the coming episodes — interrupting Tony (Nick Pickard) and Diane’s (Alex Fletcher) alone time in the process.

In spite of dad Edward (Joe McGann) having since left, Tony invites his sister to stay, but she makes sure he understands that this isn’t simply a flying visit, as she’s returned with a mission in mind — and it’s one that requires her to take up permanent residence in the village.

It doesn’t take long for her reasons to come to light, as she issues James (Gregory Finnegan) — whom she previously hit it off with during her last visit — with a proposition, as she suggests they go into partnership together.

Later, Sami (Rishi Nair) — who’s still captivated by Verity — asks her out for a drink, but she’s too busy for such a thing.

As the week progresses, Sami finds Verity and James in Salon De The, and he asks if he can join their new firm as a third partner.

Verity thinks on his suggestion, and then sets him the challenge of locating them a place to start their practice — informing him that if he succeeds in doing so, then she’ll consider his proposal.

Later, Verity sets her sights on Donovan’s salon, and proceeds to make Grace (Tamara Wall) an offer, but it soon becomes clear that Courtney (Amy Conachan) has to make the final decision.

Will Verity get what she wants?

Either way, the village is certainly better off with her in it, and this looks like it could be the beginning of a beautiful new partnership.
