Spoilers: John Paul and Sylver die in Hollyoaks as Liam exacts deadly revenge?

Liam Donovan’s (Jude Monk McGowan) craving for revenge in Hollyoaks has sent him down a dangerous path, and several of the soap’s mainstays are in extreme danger as a result, as — during last night’s episode — he kidnapped Sylver McQueen (David Tag) and John Paul McQueen (James Sutton), before taking several others hostage in preparation for his game-changing dinner party.

Last night, Liam set in motion his revenge, as he invited Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe), James (Gregory Finnegan), Maxine (Nikki Sanderson) and Grace (Tamara Wall) to his devilish dinner party in The Dog.

Additionally, he arrived at Hollyoaks High and kidnapped John Paul, before luring Sylver into a trap — hitting him over the head and leaving him for dead.

When James, Grace, Mercedes and Maxine arrived at The Dog, Liam ensured his guests of honour felt welcome, as he promised them a night they’d never forget — before pulling a gun out and pointing it towards them.

Grace panicked, as she desperately tried to get her brother to admit what he’s done with Sylver, and that very much is the question going into tonight’s instalment.

As the above picture demonstrates, Liam is keeping both Sylver and John Paul hostage in The Dog — but with him becoming more and more unhinged, will one of the captives lose their life as a result?

Or will one of the guests of honour perhaps die amid the chaos?

It’s going to be a night of epic proportions, that’s for sure — and one that you certainly won’t want to miss.

Hollyoaks continues Wednesday 25 March at 7pm on E4.
