Mack Boyd’s (Lawrence Robb) recent attempts at stealing Brenda Walker’s (Lesley Dunlop) expensive brooch did not go to plan (obviously). The Emmerdale character successfully managed to steal the brooch, but unintentionally got Faith (Sally Dexter) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) mixed up in the mess.
When Aaron attempted to put the brooch back, he was attacked by Pollard (Chris Chittell) and ended up in hospital.
Wanting to help Aaron, Mack bribes Pollard but once again, his plan leads to disaster.
Mack is busy casing out Pollard’s Barn and later, Ryan (James Moore) catches him red-handed with Val’s (Charlie Hardwick) coat – a treasured keepsake of Pollard’s. Ryan urges Mack to do the right thing and even threatens to tell Cain (Jeff Hordley) but the next day, Ryan’s unimpressed with Mack’s behaviour and still contemplates getting Cain involved.
Cocky Mack turns up at Pollard’s Barn and offers him quid pro quo; the return of Val’s coat in exchange for Aaron’s freedom.
Pollard is dumbstruck and the stand-off between him and Mack escalates until Pollard has an angina attack.
He slumps to the ground, but will Mack help him?
Could leaving Pollard just make everything worse?
