The truth about Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith)’s murders of Tina and Chantelle has gradually emerged over the past few weeks on EastEnders, leaving the residents of Albert Square reeling about the evil that’s been in their midst without most of them realising.
Everyone is struggling to process the awful truth. Denise (Diane Parish), Patrick (Rudolph Walker) and Kim (Tameka Empson) are in shock, realising how much danger Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams) had been without them knowing, and that Jordan’s father is a murderer.
Elsewhere Karen (Lorraine Stanley) and Mitch (Roger Griffiths) try to process what happened to Chantelle, and worry what to tell Mack (Isaac Lemonius) and Mia (Mahalia Malcolm).
But there’s still another bombshell to be dropped on Walford, as Kat (Jessie Wallace) and Stacey (Lacey Turner) get some devastating news – but what could it be?
Shona McGarty (Whitney) recently talked to Metro.co.uk about the Gray storyline – and the murder that nobody realised Gray had committed – the killing of popular character Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami). ‘Whitney’s got so much to think about in gathering evidence to take Gray down and the realisation of Tina, she’s got so much on her mind, she doesn’t even think about the fact that Gray killed Kush,’ Shona said.
