There’s a rough week ahead for Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) in Coronation Street as a series of confessions from Carla Connor (Alison King) leave him reeling as secrets from her recent past come to light.
And in the wake of this, as blackmail from Chelsey and Jordan intensifies against Carla, it seems like Peter is set to take drastic action when the pair are reported to have been seriously assaulted.
But is Peter responsible and just how bad is the attack? Will they both survive what he may or may have not done to them?
The drama kicks off as Carla’s memories from the squat she stayed in come back when Chelsey reminds her of the things she did.
She then gets a menacing visit from Jordan, the owner of the squat, who claims that Carla owes him money for drugs – and he isn’t leaving until she pays. After Peter walks in to the tense situation, Jordan is booted out and an upset Carla comes clean to her partner about what she went through.

Later, Jordan and Chelsey return to turn the screws again but Carla tells them to back off and they are chucked out again – but Peter knows deep down that this is unlikely to be the end of the situation.
He returns back to the flat after a while and hears a news report about two people on a nearby estate being violently assaulted but before Carla can hear it, he switches it off.
So what is he hiding and just how far has he gone to try and protect the woman he loves?
And will the condition of either Chelsey or Jordan worsen, potentially leaving Peter with a murder charge to contend with?
