STACEY Solomon revealed that she wanted her mum to be by her side during the home birth of her fourth child.
The 32-year-old star announced her little girl's arrival on Instagram yesterday, confirming that she gave birth on her own birthday on Monday.
The Loose Women star previously said that her mum "wouldn't let her die" during her home birth and was determined to have her present during her labour.
It was not clear if Stacey's mum was present at the birth, but from the photos, her sister Jemma was there to support her and fiancé Joe Swash was also seen assisting Stacey during labour.
Stacey opted for a home birth at her £1.2 million Essex home because she wanted her family there during the birth.
“The birth – it is still something we are talking about," she told the Standard in August.
"I wouldn’t be able to have my mum there, my mum has been there for every other birth, which sounds sad because I am 31 years old but I feel like she won’t let me die and she has always been there.
"We are looking at our options for a home birth."
She added: “It lessens the Covid risk… but then there is the risk if you need to be blue lighted in and there is an emergency.
"It is trying to weigh up those options. I have never considered it this much before.
"I feel like, Joe won’t be able to come in until the last minute, mum won’t be there, there is the risk of getting Covid… I don’t know how comfortable I feel.”
NAME GAME
The newborn's name is yet to be announced, and her fans are desperate to find out what she has been called.
One eager fan wrote: "Dying to know what Stacey Solomon has called her baby."
Another said: "Sooo eager to see what Stacey Solomon called her baby girl. Exciting!! Come on update those instastories!!"
This afternoon, Stacey took to her Instagram Story to share an emotional first video with her daughter – but still made no mention of a name.
Taking to her Instagram Story, the TV favourite shared a moving video that documented her home birth, before posting clearer snaps of the newborn with fans.
She emotionally captioned the post: "? She’s Here ? Born at Pickle Cottage on mummy’s birthday. Our little girl… Happy birthday my darling daughter… We all love you more than you could ever imagine.
"Your brothers, your daddy and I are so in love. Thank you for the most incredible 9 months. Now we cannot wait for the rest of our lives with you…?"
Fiance Joe commented: "My darling girls. I love you more than you'll ever know. October 4th is going to be an expensive day for daddy xxxx."
The star is also mum to 13-year-old Zachary, nine-year-old Leighton from previous relationships, and two-year-old Rex, who she shares with Joe. He is also dad to 14-year-old Harry.
