Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood branded 'bonafide hater' over Jason Bell criticism

STRICTLY judge Craig Revel Horwood has been branded a 'bonafide hater' over his criticism of Jason Bell.

The NFL player danced a salsa on Saturday's show with his pro-partner Luba Mushtuk, having performed an American Smooth in the first week.

While the couple safely made it through the first vote off – which saw Jacqui Smith sent home – Jason didn't manage to escape criticism from Craig.

He said: "I wasn’t fond, I have to admit. The Jackson 5 sort of thing going into foxtrot didn’t really do it for me.”

The 55-year-old judge is known for his harsh critiques but his comments left Jason's NFL pal Osi Umenyiora appalled.

Speaking to The Mirror, he slammed Craig, saying: "I’m listening to this guy, Craig or whatever his name is, and he’s just a surly individual. Nothing he said makes sense to me.

“This guy is a bonafide hater and he is hating on my man J Bell because you’re having the time of your life dancing.

“You brought everyone up and he’s like, ‘I didn’t like this, I didn’t like that’. What are you talking about, Craig?

“He better not let me see him, Jason, I’m coming to the show.”

Meanwhile, tonight's first results show saw former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith and her pro-partner Anton Du Beke sent home.

The pair had found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard after the first two weeks of dancing on the BBC show.

Having failed to secure enough public votes to save them from the dance-off, Jacqui and Anton had to perform again against Made in Chelsea's Jamie Laing and his pro-partner Karen Hauer.

Both couples performed their routines again; Jamie Laing and Karen performed their American Smooth to Night and Day by Frank Sinatra, while Jacqui and Anton performed their Samba to Help Yourself by Tom Jones, with the judges ultimately saving Jamie.

Strictly Come Dancing continues next Saturday on BBC One.
