Strictly’s Tess Daly and Vernon Kay are TV’s richest married duo worth £6million

I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Vernon Kay and his Strictly Come Dancing host wife Tess Daly are now reportedly the richest married couple on television.

According to new reports, the television presenters now have a combined wealth that equates to a whopping £6million.

A recent financial statement was submitted with an end date of March 31, 2020, meaning that Vernon's windfall from heading into the Welsh castle had not yet been accounted for.

It also uncovered that the celebrity couple had topped up their cash pot declaring an additional £300,000 in earnings from their shared business 21TV Limited.

The document that was signed by both Tess, 51, and Vernon, 46, also showed that the company had banked £234,015, as well as 21TV also holding money in cash and investments, meaning there was £934,966 worth of assets on the books.

After bills and other outgoings had been taken into consideration, their annual profit was shown as £53,797.

Back in 2010, the Family Fortunes host opened up 21TV but later his Strictly wife Tess joined him as a business partner in 2016.

After the pair opted to team up, their cash surge seemed to hit an all time high with the couple netting £1,378,839 along with making £700,000 in profits.

That same year, Tess closed down her own TV firm Sugarstep Productions and paid herself £2.2m from the liquidation.

Taking everything into consideration, including their home which is now valued at £1.5m, Tess and Vernon's combined net worth takes them to a total of £6m.

The couple have both worked in TV for decades with Vernon's career rocketing back in 2000 after he landed the hosting role on Channel 4's popular show T4.

In 2006, he hit the big time after striking up a role on ITV's All Star Family Fortunes, with his legacy on the show coming to an end in 2015.

More recently, he became a contestant on this years I'm a Celebrity Get…Me Out of Here! and was claimed to be the second highest paid star to enter Gwrych Castle, scooping up a grand £150,000 for his time spent on the programme.

Vernon was beat to the winner's podium by podcaster Giovanna Fletcher who took home the win and Radio 1 DJ Jordan North, who finished in second place.
