Over the weekend, presenter Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer were joined on Sunday Brunch by radio DJ Snoochie Shy, podcaster Fearne Cotton, TV host Vernon Kay and actor Kiefer Sutherland. Musician Miles Kane also performed his latest release while guest chef Judy Joo cooked up a storm in the kitchen. Viewers were left in shock after Kiefer told the Channel 4 hosts about his latest project which surprisingly didn’t involve acting.
The TV star is perhaps better known for his starring role as Jack Bauer in the FOX drama series 24, for which he won an Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Satellite Awards.
Kiefer has also featured in classic films such as Flatliners, The Lost Boys, A Time to Kill and A Few Good Men.
Swapping his scripts for song lyrics, the movie mogul discussed his third studio album Bloor Street on the Channel 4 show.
Speaking about his new album, Kiefer explained: “I’ve been playing [music] all my life.
“You know, I wrote songs when I was in my teens, but I’ve certainly become more prolific with it in this last 10 years and I finally got to a place where I actually liked the songs I was writing.
“I’m very excited about this record, and hopefully, this pandemic will be behind us soon and we’ll be able to come over and play.”
Bewildered fans flocked to social media to express their shock over the actor’s latest venture.
On Twitter @domain_harry said: “pounshop billy ray cyrus #sundaybrunch.”

The hit US series, which was released in back 2011, followed counter-terrorist agent Jack Bauer attempting to uncover a plot to assassinate a presidential candidate.
Proving to be a hit with audiences, the popular crime drama made it to nine seasons.
Some viewers were commented on the quality of Kiefer’s music after having listened to his new album.
One user, @docabbit, said: “I had no idea Kiefer Sutherland had an album out… And it’s very good.”
While another praised Kiefer’s dad Donald, who as well as acting, also has a shared interest in singing.
@JimHatch_WV gushed: “I always thought Kiefer Sutherland had a great voice. His dad does too.”
