SUPERVET TV star Noel Fitzpatrick has updated fans over his poorly dog Keira after she was hit by a van in a shocking accident.
The 52-year-old Irish veterinary surgeon told fans took to social media to thank fans for their support and words of comfort.
The Channel 4 star wrote alongside a sweet snap of Keira: "I have been intensely humbled and blown away by your outpouring of kindness following her accident.
"Thank you all so much for your get well soon wishes and words of comfort and hope during this very difficult time."
The vet revealed the heartbreaking news to fans on Twitter two weeks ago, sharing an adorable photo of the pup: "3 weeks ago my little girl, Keira, was hit by a van.
"She has been in a critical state and the fear of losing her has been overwhelming.
"Her outlook remains unknown. We hope & keep the faith that she will be OK. I’ll bring an update when the time is right. Thank you for caring."
Fans were devastated for the star, with one writing: "Wishing her a speedy recovery ❤️."
Another fan tweeted: "Keep fighting Keira xx lots of love, hugs and kisses to you both xx thanks for updating Noel We've been worrying so much about Keira."
A third posted: "She's a little fighter ❤️thinking of you both and sending so much love! Now more than ever."
Noel's beloved pup couldn't be in better hands – the TV star shot to fame after taking part in the BBC documentary The Bionic Vet in 2010 and the Channel 4 series The Supervet.
He also received a Guinness World Record for his pioneering operation on Oscar the cat, who was the first animal in the world to receive two bionic leg implants.
He has also been awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Surrey for the advancement of animal health.
The TV vet has saved countless animals and even rescued Dec Donnelly's sausage dog after it was attacked by a fox.
Dec revealed his furry friend Rocky, a gorgeous dachshund, was rushed to the vets following the scrap in his garden earlier this year.
The "cheeky" intruder left Rocky in need of medical care, but the brave pooch survived to tell the tale.
Dec tweeted: "Another thank you to this guy Prof Noel Fitzpatrick & his amazing staff for looking after Rocky & getting him back on his feet after a run-in with a grumpy fox in our garden. Cheeky bugger!
"The care & attention from Fitzpatrick referrals is so reassuring & comforting. Thanks again everyone. x"
The doctor replied: "An absolute pleasure guys x"
Earlier this year, Dec shared a picture of himself cuddled up with his pooch alongside the well-known vet, and he branded Noel and his colleagues “heroes”.
He wrote: “Another thank you to this legend and the amazing staff at Fitzpatrick referrals for taking care of Rocky after the silly sausage hurt his back again!
“We never fail to be impressed by the kindness and care shown by all. You’re heroes!”
