The Apprentice aired tonight (November 27) with another episode of the BBC One competition as the remaining contestants fought for an all-important investment from Lord Alan Sugar. The latest episode saw the business-savvy challengers act as talent managers – but two unlucky candidates were sent home in a dramatic double firing – here’s everything you need to know about who left the show.
Who was fired from The Apprentice last night?
In the latest episode of The Apprentice, the teams Unison and Empower were tasked with acting as talent managers.
They were once again split into two teams as they attempted to best the others by creating a song for their individual clients – Lucozade and Umbro.
This involved a tense few days of attempting to work out which unsigned musicians to hire before they headed to a studio to create a new remix of their songs.
Unison under the leadership of Dean Ahmad had some early wins with more artists choosing to sign with them while Lewis Ellis struggled to manage Empower.

Then both groups were called back to Alan Sugar’s boardroom at the end of the task to see who would be sent packing from the competition.
This resulted in a tense double firing as both Thomas Skinner and Marianne Rawlins were fired by Lord Sugar.
The first to face the decision was pillow salesman Thomas who had found himself on the losing team in every one of the nine tasks so far.
Lord Sugar was particularly sad to see Thomas go as he gave him a warm send-off from the competition.
He said: “If this was a war and I was a General and we were in the trenches somewhere, who would I take with me out of you lot? Him.
“But we’re not in a war, I’ve got to go to business. It is saddening for me, Thomas.”
Speaking after leaving the house, Thomas said: “I’m gutted I didn’t make the final but there’s some fantastic business people in this process and every person in there deserves to be there and good luck to them.”
The next unlucky candidate sent home was Marianne Rawlins after Lord Sugar told her that he could not see himself going into business with her.
The US-born candidate was the owner of a Risk Management Consultancy before she entered the competition.

When she left, she said: “I’ve been more out of my element in this process than I ever have been my life and honestly I’ve learned a little bit about myself and areas I can improve.”
The pair were in the boardroom with Pamela Laird and Lewis, who were both saved for another week of the competition.
This was because they were part of the losing team Empower after their song ‘I Need Something Different in My Veins’ did not go down well with Lord Sugar and the client.
While the team had secured a high commission from their artists of 35 per cent, which earned them £10,001, they couldn’t compete with Unison.
Unison managed a 30 per cent commission but had higher sales, leading them to earn £15,045 and winning the task.

As a result, Lord Sugar called all four contestants back into the boardroom to be put at risk of being fired.
In the final judgement, some of their failings included remixing the song beyond recognition, struggling to convince artists to sign with them and alienating the final client.
The next episode will see the remaining six candidates attempt to create and sell their own perfume.
There are five more episodes left in the competition for the contestants to prove that they are worthy of the £250,000 investment in their business idea and partnership with Lord Sugar.
The Apprentice 2019 continues every Wednesday on BBC One.
