Brown’s rocky road to engagement

Brown’s Bachelorette journey was so rough that even host Chris Harrison wondered if she would get engaged at the end of the season.

“I wish I could guarantee [a proposal], but I cannot deliver…  I don’t know, I would love to be able to do my job and deliver this, but I don’t know if we’re going to,” Harrison told Entertainment Tonight ahead of filming the finale. “It might be a bumpy finish.”

“Sitting here now, I really don’t know how it’s going to end,” the host said. “I am hopeful and she is hopeful, but the way she wants to find love and the way she is going about this is really true and sincere. She is not just going to do it to do it, and as rough as it has been and as wild as it has been, I am not sure she is going to be able to get there. And that is because she doesn’t know if she will be able to get there. So, I am interested as anybody to see how this all wraps up.”

Spoiler alert: Brown’s engagement

According to Bachelor franchise spoiler extraordinaire, Reality Steve, Brown does, in fact, get engaged. At first, he reported that she ended up with Tyler Cameron, but has since changed his tune to say that she actually finishes the season with Jed Wyatt.

If you have been following Bachelorette news then you have probably heard that Wyatt reportedly had a girlfriend when he came onto the show.

Wyatt’s ex-girlfriend, Haley Stevens, claimed that she dated Wyatt for four months, up until right before he got on a plane to go film The Bachelorette.

Shortly after Stevens and Wyatt got together, she says that he told her that he was in the casting process for the show.

“He came forward, basically said, ‘I’ve been talking to my mom about this, I just don’t think there’s any way we can go forward,’” she told  Entertainment Tonight . “I kind of see where this is going, and I don’t feel right not giving you the chance to walk away. I have to be upfront about it.’”

She continued to date Wyatt even though he planned to go on the show.

“Obviously, I’ve looked back on this,” she told the outlet. “I read text messages that I sent that I’m like, ‘This is embarrassing. How could I let myself be here? How could I let myself believe this?’”

“Someone told me they love me, this is what’s best for them, I trusted in that. I could never have known that this is what the situation would be. I could never have known that feelings would be involved or hearts would be broken,” Stevens continued. “I know that this story is hurtful to [Hannah Brown], and she’s feeling what I have felt, and that is not an easy thing to do or know that I’ve done. None of it’s easy. So many people are tied up in this.”

Does Brown call off her engagement?

Now that the news of Wyatt’s new girlfriend has broken, fans have been wondering how Brown has reacted.

Well, according to Reality Steve, Brown has broken off her engagement to Wyatt.

“I can confirm that Hannah broke off her engagement to Jed earlier this week,” Reality Steve tweeted last week. “They are still ‘together,’ but the engagement is off. This isn’t a ‘don’t ever talk to me again’ from what I’m being told, but it’s also not all rainbows and daffodils either…”
