Brown’s time on The Bachelorette got complicated really fast because of how quickly she got to attached to Luke Parker. She then had to dump him multiple times before he was gone for good. The former beauty queen gave a reason behind her feelings for him to Chris Harrison.
“I will never try to say that the feelings that I had for [Luke Parker] weren’t real because they were,” she said. “It was the closest thing that I had to feeling love at first sight. But I think a lot of that came from being really insecure about being the bachelorette in the first place.”
She continued, “I remember that when I got the call from [Chris Harrison] I was so excited but also I had this doubt of ‘Oh my gosh are the guys gonna be disappointed? And am I gonna be able to live up to this standard that I thought I had to live up to?’”

Her season ended with her picking Jed Wyatt. However, it was soon revealed that he had a girlfriend back at home. Many fans would probably understand if Brown regretted picking Wyatt instead of Tyler Cameron, but she gave a reason why that wasn’t the case.
“I became a lot stronger of a woman throughout all I went through, so I don’t want to say I regret it. But he is pretty great,” she told Jimmy Kimmel.
Brown has since moved on by competing on Dancing with the Stars and winning. Now time will tell what she’ll do after going on tour with the cast. One thing she is doing is talking about her experience this past year.
She sometimes wishes she protected her heart
The reality star is still reflecting on her time on the show. There are some things she wished she did differently although there were good things that came from her decisions.
“I feel like a lot of people that have been in similar situations as I have, reality TV stars, you can make a packaged version of yourself if you want to — I just don’t work that way,” Brown told People. “I can’t do it. I can’t pretend that I’m happy or pretend to get emotional when I’m not.”
She later talked about a price she did pay from being open during her journey. “Sometimes, yeah, I wish I would have protected my heart a little more, absolutely,” the former reality star said. “But being able to have that human connection is so worth it I’m really proud of that.”
It sounds like Brown learned a lot from her experience. Fans will have to keep following her to see what she’ll do after being on reality TV.
