The Chase frontman Bradley Walsh has slammed rival BBC gameshow, Pointless, in a blistering rant during the latest episode the show.
As four new players joined him in a bid to win a large cash prize it was Scottish call center worker Maryanne that sparked the host’s ire after she admitted she had once appeared on the rival show. Explaining that she made the final but “only won a trophy” Brad began: “Of course it was just a trophy. How much cash did you win? £8-9? Your bus fare home? Not even that you had to put to it to get home did you?”
When Maryanne then began chatting with the chaser, Mark “The Beast” Labbett, after scoring an impressive eight questions correctly in her cash builder round, Bradley quipped: “here’s the difference – eight questions right on Pointless – £3.24. Eight questions right here – £8k.”
But still the anger continued after the Beast offered her a low offer of £3k – causing him to blast: “hang on a minute we’ve just offered you more on a low offer than they do all series!”
