On Saturday night, ITV host Joel Dommett was back to host The Masked Singer’s sister show, The Masked Dancer. The first instalment saw Zip, Knickerbocker Glory, Beetroot, Llama, Viper and Scarecrow take to the stage to bust out their best dance moves. The first celebrity to be eliminated from the competition was Viper, which was later revealed to be Diversity star Jordan Banjo. On Sunday’s instalment, after another six mystery celebs performed, although in the end, Flamingo was eventually unveiled to be pop star Louise Redknapp. Bank Holiday Monday saw another dance-off which led to Knickerbocker Glory and Beetroot landing themselves in the bottom two. Although, it was Beetroot who was booted from the competition, who finally unveiled herself to be Dita Von Teese.
On Sunday, Beagle showed off his dance moves to Bang Bang by Will.i.am.
Before the performance had even begun, judge Mo Gilligan commented: “It’s Great Gatsby vibes.”
During the dance, Davina McCall turned to Mo as she noted: “I think this is someone who has danced before.”
Beagle clearly impressed the judges with his stellar dance moves as Mo complimented: “That was wicked.”
The clues the judges had to work on was the fact in his VT, Beagle used the word “top gun” and “this Beagle is flying”.
He also mentioned when he got his “first set of boots” which led the judges to think about a footballer.
Speaking after Beagle’s performance, Davina told him: “That performance was really entertaining, so much energy.
“I was feeling that perhaps these clues were looking back to a golden age and might have told us something about your age, but actually I think you’re young.”
She continued: “I think you’ve trained and actually been in some kind of competition. Now, the only thing I can think of to do with flying was McFly and Harry Judd because I know Harry Judd can really dance.”
Oti Mabuse initially thought the top gun reference could be connected to Top Gear. However, she soon pointed out that the football reference could be linked to Jamie Redknapp.
“Could be something to do with speed,” the professional dancer said.
“Freddie Flintoff because he made a lot of sporting references and then I saw the football and you also had a book which had trees [on it] so I thought family tree.”

“So, a famous football player that has a famous dad is Jamie Redknapp,” she added as Jonathan Ross joked: “Oti when you think family tree was a clue aimed at you?
“It’s Motsi Mabuse come out of retirement.”
The TV host went on to think about the dog reference as he suggested another football player, Harry Kane.
While Mo was convinced that Beagle is Greg Rutherford because of the flying and travelling references.
Viewers also took to social media to share their own theories about who Beagle could be – and many seem to think the clues pointed to Jamie.
One penned on Twitter: “Aww I love Beagle. So cute. I think he is Jamie Redknapp #MaskedDancerUK.”
“Beagle – Jamie Redknapp? #MaskedDancerUK,” another wrote as a third wrote: “I’m guessing Jamie Redknapp for the beagle #MaskedDancerUK.”
A fourth commented: “Jamie Redknapp Beagle #maskeddanceruk,” as a fifth predicted: “Based on the football reference, Beagle could be Jamie Redknapp. #MaskedDancerUK.”
A few other names thrown into the mix for Beagle are Duncan James from the band Blue, Take That’s Howard Donald and even The Voice coach Danny Jones.
The Masked Dancer returns tonight at 7.30pm on ITV.
