Maggie (played by Lauren Cohan) may not have been seen since season nine of The Walking Dead but it hasn’t stopped her having a major impact on the current series as she’s set to return in the delayed season 10 finale on AMC. What exactly lies ahead for Maggie remains somewhat of a mystery as TWD fans still await to see what the future holds as Beta (Ryan Hurst) closes in on the group with his army of Whisperers, but one storyline which has already got the rumour mill rolling is between her and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
Negan’s arc has seen the former Saviour leader transform from a bloodthirsty murderer to, arguably, an integral part in the group’s neevrending quest for survival.
However, Maggie hasn’t been in the picture to witness this transformation from the man who brutally murdered her husband Glenn (Steven Yeun).
Glenn’s death lives long in the memory of TWD fans for its particularly brutal manner, as Negan pummelled his skull with a baseball bat.
The harrowing scenes were made ever so more heartbreaking as his pregnant wife Maggie witnessed the entire ordeal.

Maggie has vowed revenge against Negan ever since, desperate to avenge the death of her other half.
But it looks like she’ll face a challenge to do so in the near-future as Negan continues to prove his worth to the group.
And while showrunner Angela Kang has hinted at a Maggie and Negan war in the upcoming season, actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan has suggested just how the character could try and worm his way into her good books.
Speaking at Comic Con: At Home during a TWD panel, Morgan brought up Negan’s relationship with younger members of the group.
And fans will be familiar with the fact Maggie and Glenn’s son Hershel will be around about eight-years-old when he and his mother return to the fray.
But could a bond with Hershel help reconcile Negan’s differences with Maggie?
Morgan said: “Negan definitely has a soft spot for the younger generation, and we’ve seen that numerous times,
“I think he has a relationship with young kids that is very honest, and I don’t think that he would shy away from letting this kid know who he is, and try to work through it.”
Referencing a possible Hershel alliance specifically, Morgan continued: “I think that may be a way — we’ll see, I’m not a writer on this show,
“But that may be a way that Maggie sees a different side of Negan, as well.”
However, he hasn’t ruled out the possibility that Maggie may still get her hands on the former Saviour.
“I think initially she’ll just want to kill him, but we’ll see what happens,” Morgan said.

The two’s relationship will certainly be an intriguing one, especially with this possibility that Hershel could hold the key to the reconciliation.
After all, Negan has developed strong bonds with the likes of Judith Grimes (Cailey Fleming), despite Michonne’s (Danai Gurira) clear and understandable disdain for the character.
Will Negan be able to use his way with words to grow closer to Maggie?
Or could Negan’s time on the show be up once Maggie lays eyes on him once more?
The Walking Dead season 10 concludes on AMC on October 4.
