This Morning descended into chaos on Monday morning after Alison Hammond was stunned to find out they were celebrating her 20th anniversary on the ITV show.
The presenter, 47, was live from Birmingham and believed she was heading to surprise a woman in the latest round of dosh on your doorstep – but ran into a spot of trouble when something went wrong with her ear piece.
But back to the studio, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield confessed they purposely cut Alison's ear piece, who believed there was a "technical issue," and revealed the real surprise was for Alison herself in honour of her hitting the milestone on the show.
Heading to the woman's house, Alison ran down the street with the camera in tow and prepared to surprise the lucky member of the audience, unaware that Josie Gibson and Kate Lawler were waiting for her.
Finally getting to the door, the Strictly star was stunned to see her fellow co-host at the door as she gasped: "What you doing?"
The Big Brother winner exclaimed: "Normally you're doing the surprises. Today the surprise is on you! Happy 20th anniversary on This Morning!"
"Happy anniversary!," screamed Holly from the studio.
Alison couldn't contain herself when Kate revealed this was just the first of many surprises as she screamed: "I'm ready! Oh my god I love it!"
Standing beside a car, Alison continued: "Oh my god I love you! This is the best!," before falling backwards and hitting her head on her way into the backseat of the car.
Struggling to control themselves in the studio, Holly giggled: "Be careful! I don't think I've ever seen someone get in a car like that in my entire life. It's like the car swallowed her."
Viewers at home found the segment hilarious, taking to social media with their thoughts.
One user penned: "#ThisMorning bringing me so much joy right now. Enjoy it all Alison and thank you for sharing your infectious smile and laugh with us for two decades. Congratulations!!"
Another wrote: "The way Alison fell into the car #thismorning," followed by two crying-laughing emojis.
While a third said: "I absolutely love Alison Hammond."
