BOXER Tony Bellew squares up to hardman Ant Middleton in a terrifying showdown on the next episode of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
On Monday night, the instructor will be seen pushing the Liverpudlian man mountain to breaking point in a gruelling task.
Tony – whose nickname in the ring was “Bomber” – is left salivating at the mouth on the Channel 4 show and calls Ant a “f***ing c**t.”
It was sparked by the instructor ordering two of his fellow recruits, Lauren Steadman and Nikki Sanderson, to carry him. That’s despite the retired fighter being twice their weight.
The former heavyweight champion looks like he’s going to attack Ant during a tense stand off and afterwards he admits he came close to punching him.
But after the task ends and Tony calmed down, he apologised to the instructor and admitted why he struggles with his anger.
He said: “I can’t deal with my past. My missus’ brother went to Mexico for his friend’s wedding and he didn’t come home. He was found at the bottom of a balcony, dead.”
He adds: “I am a bit of a maniac. I have it within me. It’s only a matter of time before it erupts.”
In 2017 Ashley, the brother of his wife Rachael, died during a trip to Cancun, Mexico. He was just 33 years old, and Tony was heartbroken.
The boxer also struggled with another task which required him to cross a valley on a rope hundreds of feet above the ground.
Afterwards Tony admits to fellow recruit Helen Skelton why memories of the death of Ashley were triggered by the incident.
He said: “Every time I look down from a height I just think about him. There’s nothing I can do. He was a nice kid, a nice boy. I can’t deal with it.
“I honestly think it’s only a matter of time before I implode.”
