Vanderpump Rules' Jax Taylor boasts he was 'paid a ton of money to play a villain' on show as he 'owes $1.2M in taxes'

VANDERPUMP Rules' Jax Taylor boasted he was "paid a ton of money to play a villain" on the show as he "owes $1.2M in taxes."

The former reality TV star is currently expecting his first child with wife Brittany Cartwright.

A Reddit group grabbed the moment that Jax, 41, insisted that he isn't really a bad guy in real life as he simply played a character for the Bravo show.

In an Instagram post, a fan had commented: "I was concerned about Jax but he grew up! So proud!"

The expectant father quickly replied to the fan and wrote: "Remember you watched a reality show where I was paid tons of money to be the villain.

"People don't watch shows that are boring, I did my job and I did it well."

Jax claiming that he was paid well to be the "bad guy" comes after The Sun revealed he owes over $1.2M in unpaid taxes.

According to the court records obtained by The Sun, Jax currently owes the federal IRS $868,035.

The ex bartender – whose real name is Jason Michael Cauchi – has an unpaid history that goes back to 2014 – where he continues to owe nearly $23,000 from the tax period ending that year.

From 2018, the VPR alum continues to have another $198,190 added to his outstanding balance.

As of December 2019 – when Jax and Brittany closed on their pricey California home – the controversial figure had another $646,867 added to his unpaid taxes.

In a separate document obtained by The Sun, the Michigan native is shown owing the California Franchise Tax Board over $316,571 for the period of 2018-2019.

The state tax lien was just filed on March 10 and notes interest and fees will continue to accrue until the outstanding balance is paid.

Between federal and state taxes, documents show Jax owes a total of more than $1.2 MILLION in back payments which will continue to increase if not paid.

The Sun has confirmed with Los Angeles County clerk officials that the taxes remain unpaid.

A rep for Jax declined to comment on the matter when contacted by The Sun.

In December, Bravo announced Jax and wife, Brittany, would not return to the West Hollywood-based reality show.

His comments cost him a lot – as it was reported Jax was the highest-paid earner on Pump Rules with an alleged salary of $25,000 per episode.

As the season typically consists of 24 episodes, this would mean the controversial star is potentially losing out on more than $600,000 per year.

The Bravolebrity was accused of “racist and transphobic” comments as fans quickly called for his firing – with even pal Lance Bass agreeing he should be off the show.

In addition to a baby on the way, the duo also put down a hefty amount of money on a $1.9M modern farmhouse just outside of Los Angeles in the upscale Valley Glen area.

At the time of purchase, the soon-to-be parents were elated and boasted about the buy on social media as it’s their first bought home together.

The 3,700-square-foot pad is equipped with five bedrooms and 5.75 baths along with spacious backyard and in-ground swimming pool.

The residence is roughly a 45-minute drive from Lisa Vanderpump’s businesses they previously worked at.
