Vikings is in full swing and fans can’t seem to get enough of season 6. The internet is full of fans talking about what’s going on in the new season. Read on to learn what people are really talking about when it comes to episode 3 of the final season. There are spoilers ahead.
King Bjorn Ironside isn’t very loyal to his wife
As most viewers of Vikings probably already know, King Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig) isn’t known as a faithful companion. Nothing seems to have changed now that he is King of Kattegat either. He cheats on his wife, which really is of no surprise considering the first two episodes were building on it. Fans aren’t really surprised, but can’t seem to stop talking about it.
“Sad to remember that kid Bjorn was upset when Ragnarcheated on Lagertha,” a Reddituser recalled.
Even the most faithful Bjorn supporters were scratchingtheir heads after episode 3. “I’m a huge Bjorn fan and apologist and even Ifound myself saying ‘don’t think with your d*** for just once Bjorn” and oncehe decided to hop in bed with her I found myself saying ‘well f*** you’re anidiot who has not learned a single thing after becoming a king,’” another useragreed.
A Reddit user brought up an excellent point about Bjorn’s father, Ragnar. “He told Bjorn to think with his brain, and not his d***,” the user said. “I think Ragnar could tell that it would be an issue down the line. I mean Ragnar wasn’t the best example, but I think he was wanting Bjorn to not make the same mistakes as he did.”
Lagertha unburies her sword
Back on her farming settlement, Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick)must unbury her sword and prepare to fight again already. Let’s face it, shewas never meant to live a docile life. She has seen too much and done too muchto sit back now.
“Lagertha last week: I swear to the gods I will never fightagain. Lagertha this week: Prepare to fight,” a Reddituser said.
People are concerned for Hvitserk
Hvitserk (Marco Ilsø) has been through a lot and he clearlyhas some major PTSD going on. Fans are understandably concerned about him.
“Hvitserk needs some serious help, I’m actually sort ofscared for him,” a Reddituser revealed.
Many users feel he is suffering from a form of PTSD. “Ithink he’s suffering from some powerful PTSD. Also, it looks like he’s eating ‘foodof the gods’ a.k.a. psychedelic mushrooms,” someone else pointed out. “You seethem sitting in bowls around him in certain scenes… Could explain thehallucinations, especially when coupled with raging alcoholism and probably nottoo much food or water.”
“God, it hurts to see him like that. And that line killed me‘just someone to love,’” someoneelse observed.
Bjorn Ironside is defeated
Bjorn goes to free King Harald (Peter Franzén) from King Olaf, but they were prepared for the incursion. Olaf puts oil on the water and sets fire to it as they move in. Surrounded, King Bjorn made a terrible mistake.
Many fans weren’t loving the scene itself. “Why was Bjorn inthe water with his men?” someoneasked. “Dumbest scene in the show yet. He sailed in with an armada. Let’sswim in.”
“Seems like he was betrayed,” another Reddit user wrote. “Thoseguys that didn’t want to fight and then left before the fire started, theyknew. They must have told Olaf about the plan to swim in.”
People are definitely not happy with Bjorn as the season starts off. “Bjorn is King for a whopping five minutes and he’s already f***** up beyond belief: He goes to free the greatest enemy Kattegat has and gets his a** kicked while doing so,” another user said.
Vikings season 6 is shaping up to leave fans breathless.Hopefully, the rest of the season will be just as good.
