What is wrong with Adele in Behind Her Eyes?
Behind Her Eyes has left fans perplexed as it includes many unusual themes, like lucid dreaming and astral projection.
In the series, Louise ended up having an affair with her manager David, without realising he was married to Adele.
Adele and Louise ended up becoming friends after they bumped into each other in the street.
At first, fans thought it was a coincidence, but in the end, it was revealed Adele had been spying on her all along.
She had been using out of body experiences, known as astral projection, to monitor Louise’s relationship with her husband.
Throughout the series, fans came to learn how Adele was still taking medication to stabilise her mental health.
She had spent some time at a psychiatric unit as a teenager, which is shown during various flashbacks.
It was here she met Rob (Robert Aramayo), a heroin addict who became her best friend – or so she thought.
The pair had confided in each other following the death of Adele’s parents, which seems to have triggered her mental decline.
Her parents died in a fire at their stately home, although it was never revealed how the fire started exactly.
Adele said she had been having an out of body experience when the fire started, so she was unable to wake up and save her parents.
Following their deaths, the trauma had led her to end up at the mental health unit, where she was receiving support.
She also revealed she had trouble sleeping and had practised lucid dreaming in order to control her nightmares.
By the end of the series, fans came to learn how Adele was not who they thought she was.
A huge plot twist revealed how Rob and Adele had been practising astral projection together, and they had been able to swap bodies.

While Rob was in Adele’s body, he injected her with heroin and killed her.
He threw the body into a well and returned to the house, with everyone else presuming Adele was still herself.
In fact, it was Rob still in Adele’s body, and he had become obsessed with the idea of getting close to David.
The psychotic character fans had believed to be Adele was actually Rob all along, meaning Adele had recovered from the trauma after she left the unit.
Rob had visited her at her stately home, which is where he committed the terrible act.
Having already opened up about his sexuality, he had become fixated with David and wanted to be with him.
He felt the only way to get close to him was to get Adele out of the picture, so he went inside her body and killed her.
From then on, David presumed Adele was still the girl he fell in love with, but he was wrong.
Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Adele, with one saying: “I just started watching Behind Her Eyes. Adele is so creepy.”
Another said: “Watching Behind Her Eyes and Adele is off the deep end crazy.”
