What's on TV tonight? Shows to watch on Monday 10 July from Catching a Killer: The Wind in the Willows Murder to Fearless

WHAT can't you miss on TV tonight? Our guide to the must-see shows…

NEW! Catching a Killer: The Wind in the Willows Murder, 9pm, Channel 4

The trend for true-crime documentaries has thrown up some gripping tales, and this is no exception.

It follows the investigation into the 2016 killing of 42-year-old Adrian Greenwood, a dealer in art and books, who was stabbed over 30 times at his home in Oxford.

A valuable edition of the Wind In The Willows went missing. The film reveals how, thanks to cross-referencing CCTV and mobile-phone signals (how did the police ever catch anyone before such technology?), a prime suspect is detained, but his guilt or innocence rests on crucial evidence from his relatives.

The access is amazing, offering fascinating insight into the nuts and bolts of the case, as well as heartbreaking evidence of the collateral damage sustained in such horrific crimes.

Fearless, 9pm, ITV

Even while being held by the US Air Force, Emma (Helen McCrory, above) is such an impressive lawyer that she manages to have a secret meeting.

She’s taken by someone to meet Logan Bradley, who claims that he was in love with Linda…

While sometimes this show strains far too hard for high-level intrigue, every scene with actress Helen as ragged Emma is worth watching.

NEW! How To Retire at 40, 8.30pm, Channel 4

Anna Richardson (above) meets people who are living the dream by making it big and then taking it easy.

Some success involves clever ideas – Pippa Murray made £3m from nut butter – some involves silly ideas – like the man who sends messages on potatoes through the post – and others have a secret formula.

However they’ve done it, we’re jealous, and you might be too.

NEW! Supermarket Shopping Secrets, 9pm, BBC One

It’s all about convenience for Gregg Wallace (above) and Babita Sharma tonight.

Gregg examines a complicated Mexican ready meal, tracks down some microwaveable Scottish salmon and meets a company gathering ever-more data on shoppers.

Babita, however, gets the cushier job of going to Spain on the hunt for the ultimate easy-peeler orange.
