Sir David has two daughters, from two different relationships.
The actor became a father at the age of 61 when he and Gill welcomed a daughter called Sophie Mae in February 2001.
It was then revealed in 2023 that he had another daughter called Abi Harris, who was born in 1970.
The father and daughter only found out they were related in 2022.

Open All Hours
Starring Ronnie Barker, Open All Hours was a corner shop based sitcom taking place in Doncaster.
Running from 1973 to 1985, David played Granville, the put-upon nephew of Ronnie's character, Albert Cartwright.
A Touch of Frost
Taking on a more gritty role, David plays Detective Inspector Frost – a no-nonsense old-school cop based in the fictional Denton CID.
The detective serial drama sees Frost alongside his cohorts working to discover the culprits of a series of crimes.
It ran from 1992 before eventually ending in 2010.
Still Open All Hours
Still Open Hours kicked off in 2013 and came to an end in 2020.
It followed the story of Granville who inherited the Arkwright's corner shop from his uncle.
The show is a sequel to Open All Hours which ran from 1973 to 1985.
