There’s been no shortage of drama in EastEnders lately, as the repercussions from the boat party disaster continue to dominate Walford.
From Ben (Max Bowden) coming to terms with his deafness through to Sharon (Letitia Dean) giving up baby Kayden as she continues to grieve for Dennis, the aftermath of that night just isn’t going away.
However you’ll have to wait a little while longer to see what happens next – since there’s no episode of the soap on Thursday night.
Just why isn’t it on – and when will we see it next?
Why is EastEnders not on?

The decision to halve the weekly number of episodes came last week after production on the show was suspended due to the outbreak.
As a result of this, the show has now been cut to just two episodes a week from the usual four, and will air on Mondays and Tuesdays only until further notice.
A BBC spokesperson said in a statement: ‘In light of the spread of Covid-19, after much consideration, it has been decided that filming on EastEnders will be postponed until further notice.
‘We will continue to follow the latest news and advice from the World Health Organisation and Public Health England. ‘

They added: ‘We have also taken the decision to reduce the amount of episodes we broadcast each week to two, so that we can ensure the audience can continue to enjoy EastEnders in their homes for as long as possible.’
EastEnders is not the only soap impacted by the pandemic – with Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks having also suspended production and cut their weekly episodes down in order to ensure they can remain on air with new installments for as long as possible.
When is EastEnders next on?
The next episode airs on Monday night on BBC One at 8pm.
