Will Marvel Bring Back Vision To Be A Part Of 'WandaVision' After 'Avengers Endgame'?

Marvel confused a lot of fans by announcing that Elizabeth Olsen will be teaming up with Paul Bettany in the upcoming Disney+ streaming show, WandaVision. Avengers: Infinity War included the heartbreaking death of Bettany’s character, Vision, who was not brought back to life in Avengers: Endgame.

With Vision set for a big return in WandaVision, Marvel fans have a lot of questions about his ultimate fate. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways that Marvel could resurrect Vision and reunite him with Scarlet Witch.

Inside Vision’s final moments

Vision tragically died at the end of Infinity War at the hands of Thanos. But before his final breath,he sacrificed himself and asked Scarlet Witch to destroy the Mind Stone. Theensuing scene was very emotional for Wanda and Vision, though Thanos undid allof their actions with the Time Stone.

After Thanos ripped the Mind Stone out of Vision’s head, he destroyedhalf of the life in the universe with a snap of his fingers. Vision was leftfor dead, as was a slew of our favorite characters in the MCU.

The events in Endgame, of course, brought back most of the superheroes, who eventually defeated Thanos and wiped him off the map. In the process, Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow gave their lives.

But when it comes to Vision, the film failed to bring himback into the fold. Most fans believed they had seen the last of the character– at least until Marvel confirmed that Bettany will return in WandaVision.

How will Marvel bring back Vision?

There is little doubt that Marvel has always had a plan tobring Vision back. After all, they have probably been planning WandaVision for quite some time and knewBettany and Olsen would be teaming up once again.

According to CinemaBlend, the most likely way to resurrect Vision is through time travel.Marvel incorporated time travel in the main plot of Endgame, and it would not be surprising if they did so again in WandaVision. After all, this would bethe easiest way to get Vision back.

That said, there are potential pitfalls in using time travelto bring back characters. The biggest issue is that messing with timelinescreates alternate ones, which could easily get messy if not done correctly. Thisis one reason why the heroes in Endgamewere so careful about what they did in the past.

Luckily, there is another way Marvel could reunite Vision andScarlet Witch without using time travel.

Wakanda could resurrect Vision

In Infinity War, Vision was killed just outside the bounds of Wakanda. Based on everything we learned in Black Panther, Wakanda is home to some of the most advanced technology on the planet. This technology could be used to restore Vision to his previous state – sans the Mind Stone.

Shuri (Letitia Wright) has already proven herself to be agenius and could easily help Vision regain a sense of his former self. Visionwould not be as powerful as he was with the Infinity Stone, but it would enablehim to reunite with Scarlet Witch.

If Shuri is unable to restore Vision, she might be able toget the job done with Scarlet Witch’s help. Wanda is one of the most powerfulheroes in the MCU and could play an important part in bringing her former loverback to life.

This could also be an opportunity to showcase some ofScarlet Witch’s powers that were teased on the big screens. If that happens, then Wanda would be ready for a big return to the MCU in a later film, including a cameo in Doctor Strange Inthe Multiverse of Madness.

Olsen dishes on ‘WandaVision’

While Marvel has kept a tight lid on Vision’s storyline,Olsen recently opened up about Scarlet Witch’s journey in WandaVision. According to ComicBook, the actress, who has been playing the role since Avengers: Age of Ultron, teased that we will see a side of ScarletWatch that we’ve never seen before.

“And I’m very nervous and excited about it in all the funways,” Olsen shared. “But I think we finally get to go down some roads in comicbooks that are favorites and explore, and it’s going to be a wild ride.”

WandaVision is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in 2021.
