Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) is back in EastEnders and we couldn’t be more excited.
‘I’m thrilled to welcome the immensely talented Angela back to the role of Yolande Trueman’, show boss Chris Clenshaw said.
‘Although we haven’t seen Yolande for some years, her departure from the Square and the breakdown of her marriage to Walford’s living legend, Patrick, left some unfinished business between the pair.’
‘I have been really looking forward to playing her again and have had a beautiful time on set so far,’ Angela said upon returning to the set. ‘I can’t thank the cast and crew enough for the warm welcome back.’
The focus is very much on Patrick (Rudolph Walker) and Yolande’s relationship when she returns, as she heads back to Albert Square with the news her boyfriend Anton has thrown her out.
The audacity!
Yolande tells Patrick that she wants to stay with him, but he isn’t quite sure if that’s a good idea.
As Yolande leaves in a huff, Kim (Tameka Empson) wonders why Patrick isn’t fighting to win her back.
After Denise (Diane Parish) tries her best to get Yolande to stay, she approaches Patrick and says that he should take the chance and tell Yolande how much he cares before she leaves forever.
The former couple head to the laundrette to talk (it’s really the place to be for deep conversations, trust us), where they consider whether they are each other’s future or just ghosts from the past.
So, what will the answer be?
Will Yolande and Patrick get back together?
